Directions to Easystore Self Storage Cardiff
Our location off Newport Road
We are on Rhymney River Bridge Road, which is just off Newport Road (A4161). We are essentially behind/alongside Avenue Retail Park, which is home to stores including B&M, Matalan, Home Bargains and Greggs. We are on the other side of the road, behind Discount Tyres and Ants Inya Pants. You will see a brown building on your right, which has the Easystore signage by the entrance. That’s Connies House, which is where our reception/office is, and the storage units are just past the other side of that building.
From the M4 (westbound)
If coming from the direction of Newport, leave the M4 motorway at junction 29 and take the A48(M), following signs for “Cardiff (E)”. Continue along this dual carriageway, which becomes the A48 (Eastern Avenue). Take the A4232 slip road and take the 1st exit towards the A4232. Then go right (2nd exit) at the roundabout to A4161 (Newport Road). Rhymney River Bridge Road is the first turning on your left.
From the M4 (eastbound)
If coming from the direction of Bridgend, leave the M4 motorway at junction 30, taking the 3rd exit to the Pentwyn Link Road and following signs for “Cardiff (E)”. Go straight ahead at the next roundabout (near Asda) and then take the second exit at the following roundabout, heading southwest on the A48. From there, take the A4232 slip road, and take the 1st exit towards the A4232. Then go right (2nd exit) at the roundabout to A4161 (Newport Road). Rhymney River Bridge Road is the first turning on your left.
Alternatively, leave the M4 at junction 32 instead, follow the A470 (Northern Avenue, which becomes Manor Way) and at the roundabout (Gabalfa Interchange), take the 1st exit to join the A48 heading east. Follow the A48 until the A4232 slip road and take the 3rd exit towards the A4232, then go right (2nd exit) on the roundabout to A4161 (Newport Road). Rhymney River Bridge Road is the first turning on your left.
From Cardiff University
We’re just down the road from Cardiff University’s main campus – it’s just a really long road! If you head onto the A4161 (Newport Road) heading east and follow that road the whole way, you’ll find Rhymney River Bridge Road as the final right just before the roundabout that goes towards Llanrumney and the A48. If you hit that roundabout, you’ve gone too far – but you can just go all the way around that roundabout and head back around; if you do this, we’ll be the first left.

From Cardiff Bay
If heading to us from the direction of Cardiff Bay, there’s a few ways you can reach us, but likely the quickest and most direct is via Rover Way, the road that follows the shoreline. Continue on Rover Way until you reach the A4161 (Newport Road) and turn right. Rhymney River Bridge Road is the final right before the roundabout.
An alternative route would be to along the Central Link road, turn right onto the A4160 (by the courthouse), and join the A4161 from there instead.

Reception opening hours
Once you become an Easystore customer, your storage unit is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Our reception/office isn’t open 24/7 but is available 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. It is closed at weekends and on bank holidays. However, we can always take appointments outside of those hours – just contact us to discuss.
